Thermo Fisher Scientific Prices Offering of Euro-Denominated Senior Notes

WALTHAM, Mass.--()--Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc. (NYSE: TMO) announced today that it has priced its previously announced offering of €640 million aggregate principal amount of 2.000% senior notes due 2025 at an issue price of 99.680% of the principal amount.

The issuance of the notes is expected to close on or about November 24, 2014, subject to customary closing conditions. The notes will pay interest on an annual basis.

Thermo Fisher plans to use the net proceeds of the offering principally to repay approximately $70 million of short-term indebtedness, which consists of commercial paper, and to repay approximately $600 million of long-term indebtedness, which consists of amounts outstanding under our $5.0 billion term loan.

The joint book-running managers for the offering are HSBC Bank plc, Deutsche Bank Securities, Inc., and RBS Securities Inc.
