MUNICH –Analytica 2012– (April 17, 2012) – Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., the world leader in serving science, is showcasing its newest microbial incubators, heating and drying ovens and water purification systems during Analytica 2012, products designed to increase laboratory efficiency. The company is showcasing the new products within Thermo Scientific booth 101/202 (Hall B1) during Analytica 2012, being held April 17–20, in Munich.

Thermo Scientific Heratherm microbiological incubators are available in three models: General Protocol, Advanced Protocol and Advanced Protocol Security, and units come in 60-, 100- and 180-liter sizes. Heratherm® incubators combine outstanding sample protection, ease of use, efficiency and an inner glass door that maintains temperature uniformity. The user-friendly units feature a small footprint, making them stackable without the use of tools, an easy-to-clean rounded interior and an intuitive display. In addition, a compact 18-liter model incorporates Peltier technology to provide temperature conditions around or below ambient for space-restricted labs.

Thermo Scientific Heratherm heating and drying ovens are also available in General Protocol, Advanced Protocol and Advanced Protocol Security models and in 60-, 100- and 180-liter sizes with a choice of gravity or mechanical convection. With a focus on energy efficiency, sample safety and ease-of-use, the bench-top heating and drying ovens maximize capacity while optimizing laboratory footprint. Special insulation and a heat-decoupled door reduce energy consumption and minimize heat transfer to the environment. All models include a simple user interface, automatic over temperature alarm and data interface. As a result, these ovens meet all laboratory, clinical and industrial heating and drying needs.

Thermo Fisher has expanded its comprehensive portfolio of laboratory water purification systems for Europe to include the new Thermo Scientific GenPureThermo Scientific Smart2Pure and Thermo Scientific LabTower systems. Innovative features of the new GenPure™, Smart2Pure™ and LabTower™ systems include advanced electrodeionization (EDI) capabilities, a flexible remote dispenser and the convenience of ordering complete systems under one part number, with all of the necessary consumables and accessories included.  The Thermo Scientific water purification portfolio offers versatile Type I, Type II and reverse osmosis (RO) water systems, advanced UV intensity measurements, feed-water monitoring and improved total organic carbon (TOC) instrumentation to enhance the accuracy of matching water purity level to specific applications, increasing reliability and improving laboratory efficiency.

Also during Analytica 2012, Thermo Fisher will showcase its patented Thermo Scientific iONGUARD coating, an option for the popular Thermo Scientific Heracell i range of CO2 incubators. The iONGUARD™ coating offers reliable antimicrobial protection for stainless steel chamber surfaces. The coating utilizes the natural antimicrobial properties of silver to provide surface protection against biological contaminants while maintaining the desirable appearance and surface quality of stainless steel.
