The new permit complements Doe & Ingalls’ Industrial Alcohol User Permit as a dealer for specialty denatured alcohols (SDA).

The DSP permit allows Doe & Ingalls to offer pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical companies a cGMP-compliant regional storage and stocking option for tightly regulated ethanol products. It also streamlines the tax remittance process because customers can pay both material and tax invoices through Doe & Ingalls. Tax-exempt customers will benefit from having a reliable, regional source for tax-free ethanol.

Doe & Ingalls is able to serve customers nationwide through its three bonded service centers that pursued the permit, located in California, North Carolina and Maryland. To obtain the permit, the facilities needed to meet strict requirements for handling pure ethanol, including security and control, environmental protection and HVAC capabilities.
