MUNICH--Analytica 2016 – New low-noise recirculating chillers are designed to remain quiet under all conditions while maintaining temperature control accuracy. Quiet performance of less than 58 dBA promotes a safer and reduced-stress environment in lab settings.

The Thermo Scientific ThermoFlex recirculating chillers, which are on display at Analytica 2016 (Messe München, booth 101, hall B1) in Munich, Germany, are used to remove waste heat from laboratory or process equipment. In the lab, where the environment is relatively quiet, these chillers reduce the emitted sound pressure, limiting worker distractions and creating a safer, more ergonomic work environment.

“In an effort to respond to changing industry productivity metrics, the low-noise versions of our well-established ThermoFlex recirculating chillers address a key concern for labs needing a quiet environment without compromising on performance,” said Bob Given, product director, temperature control products at Thermo Fisher Scientific. “The key to improving lab productivity is to make it easier for researchers to do their job and stay focused on the science.”

With an increased focus on improving laboratory workflow and efficiency, the new low-noise versions of the Thermo Scientific ThermoFlex 900 and 1400 recirculating chillers deliver the same cooling power and temperature control accuracy as previous ThermoFlex models of the same size, but with reduced emitted sound pressure (less than 58 dBA). The turbine-style pump and stepper valve control are designed to allow for optimal reliability.

Unlike other reduced-noise recirculating chillers, the ThermoFlex units are specifically designed to remain quiet under challenging conditions, such as when air filters clog or during full loads.

The ThermoFlex low-noise recirculating chillers support a variety of applications including: analytical, biotech, industrial, laser, metrology, pharmaceutical, packaging, printing and research.
